PSA: Time to Change that Inspection Sticker
Well, it is that time of year again, and along with the change in the year comes a change in the color of the New York State inspection sticker. If you have a yellow sticker then chances are come January 1st you will be giving a $65 new years gift to the city.
Please note that most shops are closed for new years and it is recommended to get this done before the last minute.

Inspections expire EVERY MONTH.
Nothing different about january 1st

My car was built in the mid 1960s. I don’t need the computerized inspection or emissions, just safety. And the cost is only $10.00 :-)

That’s true, but it’s much easier to spot an expired YELLOW sticker than look for the month punched on it. In 2012, ALL yellow stickers are expired, and ripe for a ticket.

To #5: 110 of those horses use about 1 gallon of premium gasoline to go around 25 miles. I get better mileage than most of the SUVs and other vehicles driving around the neighborhood, and my car has style…
