Yalili Fever Comes to Long Island for Concert Benefitting Friendship Circle!

Jewish Music at the Playhouse will be featuring the hottest thing in Jewish music today. 8th Day, is perhaps, the most talked about new Jewish act and their original music and video have captured the worldwide attention of Jewish music lovers everywhere.

Chances are you’ve seen the viral video of the Chasidic group singing in a supermarket with jumping fish saying Yalili. No one is sure what the song means, but I bet that the over 1 million viewers all agree that the song makes them feel good. In fact, the song, by California based 8th Day, was nominated as the number 1 song on the popular Israeli radio show Hatavla.

And for the first time, 8th Day will be coming to Long Island on Jan. 7th 2012 to perform at the Hofstra Playhouse. Jewish Music at the Playhouse is a benefit show to support the work of West Heampstead Friendship Circle.

According to Jewish music critics, 8th Day is Jewish music’s hottest new band. 8th Day (Shmuely and Bentzy Marcus) have three studio albums that get air play on New York Radio and Israeli Radio. The group captures a fresh and totally unique sound, the likes of which the Jewish music scene has yet to encounter. 8th Day’s irresistible harmonies have a distinctive flavor, a modern appeal with plenty of wild color.

“This is the all new show in Jewish music.” Says concert chairman Rabbi Yossi Lieberman, “This is a first full feature show of 8th Day and this year we will be showcasing a new act named ”Eli Marcus“ a close relative of 8th Day.”
