Truth
Cause people were able to afford many wifes years ago, amd today that can’t even afford one.
Should be interesting
lol #1. There were a variety of reasons why it was allowed, including Increasing the strength of the nation, increasing your personal labor force (more wives=more farm laborers), the fact that women couldn’t survive very well w/out a husband, given the times, and of course the laws of niddah made it, uh, difficult for many men. I’m guessing that these reasons won’t be discussed.

Maybe they had a Shidduch crises back then too
No to Polygamy, Yes to Mistresses!
Was banned to prevent anti-semitism. The church was losing too many ppl which were all converting to Judaism for this perk. Polygamy still practiced, albeit rarely, among Yemenite Jews.
I’m against Polygamy, but would advocate to reinstate mistresses. People were happier back then when a man’s nature was acknowledged; unfortunately it is a woman’s world today, and that’s the cause for moral decay. The Torah’s approach should become the cultural norm.
the answer
Simple, we realized that we couldn’t bear more than one mother-in-law!
sicko
youre sick!!! no to polygamy yes to mistresses??? And youre one who wants to go the “torah way”???…according to torah, you want more than one woman, you have to MARRY her, along with all the “perks” and responsibilites. get a life!!!!
