Do the community a favor, your family a favor, yourselves a favor – attend! EVERYONE SHOULD ATTEND!
Those who are struggling with it tend to blame it on everything and everyone else before the MANY years go by till they reach out for help. Go and find out more! The stigma will come in many other ways which your “depresion” will follow you until you face and deal with it. It’s not a monster, and not as sceary as you think – just very painful.
But so is diabetes……. We need Moshiach!
    GO do yourselves a favor!

Sorry but this is not the way to run a support group. First, you don’t boast to the public about joining. Also this community is too small of an allyway where everybody knows everybody, so sharing personal family conflict with neighbors is a sure way to stigmitize your family even more then it already is. As with anything medical there is something called confidentiality.

Such an event should be open to the whole community as when you specify for this specific problem, people may not come out of embarrassment. The best way to attract those who really need it, is to make such an event in conjunction with another topic and open for all. Thank you for addressing this necessary topic.

i agree with the comment posted above. It is a vital and very commendable step to take, yet it would be beneficial for all to hear, especially those who have yet to be exposed to challenges other than their own. perhaps it would also take away some of the stigma.

bipolar bipolar bipolar bipolar! sigh! Reminds me of someone . People in the community needs a psychiatrist not a support group. Drugs, and psychologist!
