Is Kollel a valid career move? This Shabbos at the Besht Rabbi Chaim Chazan will deliver a talk on the topic after Mincha.

I think it is a matter of opinion, and my strong opinion — ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! You must be able to make parnusa to feed your meshpuha. You can take some time for Shabbatical (if you and your family can afford it) and go study, but career choice?
Unless you are planning to become a paid shliach — not really. But I might be wrong, what is the other people’s opinion?

you will have to go to the lecture, to really find out when it’s allowed, and when not.
