I went in there today and asked for a cup of hot chocolate and the guy behind the counter charged me for it. Not wanting to embarrass myself by fretting over two dollars, I paid. Not only that, but when I realized I had no cash, he more than gladly took my credit card for a $2.18 purchase – an almost unheard of courtesy in Crown Heights.
