Tonight: Shidduch Workshop for Shidduch Age Girls

Rabbi Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin has effected in our days an achdus and Ahavas Chinom surpassing what we have experienced in prior years. Many events and tehillim groups have been held and continue to be a zechus for our tzaddik, R. Sholom Mordechai. Now we are presenting an unsurpassed opportunity to unite all shidduch- age women in a one time event, for his zechus.

The ANAVIM INSTITUTE, the institute behind this event, was formed as a merit for the refuah shlaima and now for the aliyas neshama of the baby Chaya Mushka bas Sholom Meir Holzkenner who in her very short life time brought thousands of yidden closer to their heritage through the noble efforts of her parents Rochel and Sholom Meir Holzkenner. They took their challenge and used it as an opportunity for making a Kiddush Hashem in public.

The founder of this institute is Mrs. Nechama Dena Zwiebel. Her cofounder, Mrs. Zehava Friedman (nee Levy) was in the Shidduch parsha, herself when she was inspired to join Mrs. Zwiebel in this noble undertaking. Its original aim was to instill, hope and encouragement and even enthusiasm in the shidduch age girls, through exciting gatherings and revolutionary workshops, one of them, ”The Shidduch Opportunity”workshop, as well as private dating mentoring. A month after she officially joined, and was involved in organizing a powerful Tu B’Av event, Zehava Levy became a Kallah! Boruch Hashem, since then, whoever has been involved in either arranging workshops or hosting them, has become a Kallah. The name Anavim, symbolizes three things:

1 Anavim- humble ones- girls that recognize their strengths and recognize that they are from Hashem.

2. Anavim – grapes ready to become wine- girls bringing out their potential into reality.

3. Anavim- Anavim Higia zeman geulaschem- a silent prayer that everyone merits their personal redemption

This institute unassumingly, has been responsible for many women and girls gaining effective life and marriage skills, all from the truth of Torah. It has had the zechus to infuse many girls with a sense of Contentment and purpose, both while waiting for their basherte and even after marriage. It has also begun to teach effective torah based parenting as the young married girls began families of their own.

Joining Mrs. Zwiebel, will be noted speaker and respected Kallah teacher, Mrs. Bronya Shaffer. Mrs. Shaffer is a successful author and serves as a personal counselor and mentor for women, couples, and adolescents.

In the aftermath of the Great Parade, and the tremendous unity that was felt, we can still tap into the Lag Ba’omer light. There is a famous story told of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai where the yidden approached him, requesting him to daven for rain. They expected another Choni Hama’agel miracle where the circle was drawn and the ultimatum was given towards heaven. They anticipated perhaps, that the rain would come first pouring down too much, then trickling down too little and finally the right amount would rain down, just as it had with Choni Hama’agel. They were happily shown otherwise. Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai said a posuk of Torah and the rain came immediately. What was the secret of the right amount of rain at the perfect time? The “Hinei Matov Umanoim Sheves Achim Gam Yochad” – the Ahavas Yisroel and even more, the Ahavas Chinom (Unconditional love) that the Rashbi effected in his days was able to make a complete turnaround from the behavior of Rabbi Akiva’s students and cause the rain to come in a perfect way.

Once again, we will be turning to Heaven to send rain of Brochos. We will storm the heavens for the RAIN of SHIDDUCHIM to come. WE will follow the example of RABBI SHIMON BAR YOCHAI and use the energy of unity, simcha and Torah to bring the “right amount at the right time”. The “right amount “is “The right one” for you and “the right time” is NOW!

THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE WEDNESDAY, MAY 12TH, 2010, CHOF CHES IYAR, 5770, AT 8:00P.M. IN LUBAVITCHER YESHIVA, 570 CROWN STREET, IN CROWN HEIGHTS. ADMISSION IS $10 WHICH INCLUDES ENTRANCE TO A FREE RAFFEL FOR A SPA PACKAGE. A LIGHT BUFFET DINNER WILL BE SERVED.
