Joy reverberated through the room as the bris ceremony ended and well-wishers congratulated Yossel, the new father. “And Yoss, don’t forget to register the baby at Yeshiva.”

“Thanks,” smiled Yossel, but then turned away, hiding a sigh. He was way behind on tuition payments for his three older boys. “True, Hashem gives extra parnassa with the birth of each child, but it’s so hard now!” he thought. Yossel impulsively uttered a silent prayer: “Third Partner! Please help me in my new business so I can pay tuition!”

For the past 11 years, the ULY Chinese Auction has brought together the entire community, for an evening of good food and great entertainment, and they – along with all the “Yossels” and their sons – deeply appreciate your coming and supporting this event. The funds raised at this Auction also ensure that the devoted rebbeim are paid on time and that the school runs smoothly, with all the needs of the building and the children taken care of properly.

The Yeshiva is growing and flourishing, B”H. More and more families are enrolling their children as the community continues to grow, כן ירבו, and the Yeshiva is doing all it can to keep apace of the growth. Your support of this auction is more than simply a donation. It is a silent, joyous promise to scores of newborn baby boys that open doors at ULY await them, and that their fantastic staff will be there with a warm welcome for each and every boy, no matter what.

Their Ladies Event is Sunday, January 3rd featuring a film at 4pm and in the evening enjoy a Delicious Fleishig Buffet, Comedy, Cocktails and the exciting raffle drawing. The year is 5770 תש”ע – using wordplay on the Hebrew acronym, they have dubbed it “The Year of the Auction.” Let this year be The Year of the Auction in the truest sense: Let it be the memorable year when they raise all the funds they need to truly make the Yeshiva the best it can possibly be. Let it be a year of Hatzlacha for all. And let this be the year that heralds the arrival of Moshiach at long last.
