Alternate side parking regulations will be suspended Tommrow, Thursday, May 25, for holiday observance.
All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

I really don’t know but I figure all the people in CH together get at least 30 parking tickets a day, on an averga eog $100.00 each thats 3000.00 a day going to waste, so thank you so much for this ionfo, otherwise we may have double parked not noticing this
Just a nice comment for a nce guy binyomin

BTW, a few weeks ago, maybe it was good Friday, a guy in a blue van drove by me as I was double parking for alternate side, and called out "suspended!" to me. It took a few seconds to register, but thanks a billion

While we are on the subject of parking/ticketing, I noticed the viciousness of some of our “finest”, especially while ticketing blocks of Jewish violations.
It is unbelievable how they unashamedly show hate while ticketing. While this is not the place to get into any fairness issues, I think we can agree on one thing, if everyone is parked legally there will not be any parking tickets.
While moving violations will at the end of the day be up to (barring any truly unfair policing) the individual driver, and each person can only avoid it on his own, parking violations CAN and SHOULD be helped by friends and neighbors, as most parking violations are a result of “forgetting” [to move your car or to fill an expired meter].
Here are two suggestions.
1. When moving your cars for alternate side parking, let your block know that you are moving, use your horn! If people know what the horn means, they will have an automatic reminder. If a neighbor somehow missed this ‘hint’, be so kind and call them or ring their bell to let them know that their car is due for a ticket.
2. When police are ripping up Kingston Avenue with glee to give as many tickets as they can in as short of a possible time, instead of screaming “who’s car is that one? It’s getting a ticket”, PUT A QUARETER IN THE METER, let them zoom up and see that all cars are legally parked. This should not mean that people can be irresponsible about feeding their meters, but it can drastically reduce the amount of tickets that can be given, making Kingston Ave. a less appetizing place to prowl for money. REMEMBER: if we are being ticketed as a group, lets act like one!
