The polls open up today at 2 locations, one at the Kingston Ave. entrance to 770 (Tiferes Zikeinim Levi Yizchak), and the second location is at 392 Kingston Ave.. The polls will open at 8:00 am and 9:00 am respectively, and will close at 11:00 pm.

The candidates are Rabbi Yitzchok Raitport, Rabbi Shloime Segal and Rabbi Yitzchok Zirkind.

After all the letters that have gone back and forth and the litter of “Pashkvillin” in 770, what to do is totally in your hands. To vote or not to vote.

    Vote for all three Rabbonim candidate so we can have a real Beis Din finally. Yasher koach Moshe Rubashkin and Rabbi Osdoba for being true to halacha. I am saddened that Leibel Nash and Chanina Sperlin are trying to ruin the community government.

    Please do not go in and vote a blank ballot. Vote for many candidates, so the joker opponents will not say that it was just iike Russia.

    Crown Heights right now is in a state a danger! It’s so clear that the anti-semitism is the neighborhood is growing rapidly. Everyone should stop being so busy with the elections! They should be up all night figuring out what to do about the growing, and it’s only getting bigger, anti-semitic related voilence. AND NOT UP ALL NIGHT GO AROUND WITH THE SPEAKERS TO REMIND EVERY ONE TO GO VOTE. We must stick up for ourselves! And not let us be beaten and tortured by the blacks in this community.

    It was worth a try, and I hope something comes out of it. At 2 pm or so when I voted, the only one causing trouble and trying to block the vote was a clearly deranged bochur whom I have seen acting strangely whenever I am out late on Shabbos night. He was afraid to even hand out the postponement letters – he dropped one and I kept it as a souvenir (actually I am flat out of aleph yud papier but I’ll have to pick some up at some 24 hour store tonight because my copy of that letter is too dirty to put to its intended use :)).

    The whole process was very flawed, but maybe something good will come out of it. This machloikes has gone on too long and no one benefits – not even the powermongers unless they like having their names dragged in the mud.
