How come there is no mention of the tuna fish in the Beis Din letter? After all this was not a simple mislabeling issue as Rabbi Ozdoba and brook would like you to believe. The cans on the market are dated 5763. That means that for the past 3 years they were selling you tuna with oil from kitnius which was brought to their attention by others. Instead of apologizing to the public for feeding them kitniyus, they deny it and use their letter as a platform to slam the fish from Raskins which meets the highest standards in Kashrus. That is the epitome of Chutzpa.

Its in a different letter, They gave out a kashrus alert on the tuna , refering to it simply as mislabeling without admitting the truth that for 3 years they were using kitniyus oil. At the end of the letter they decided to take the opportunity to inform the public that Raskins fish is not under chk and a yiras shomayim should be viligant.

Raskin fish is very good however there are times that he and other fish stores get fish that are already cut and skinned and filleid and for that its worth having a hashgacha, having said that, the last time I looked it was under the ok, and that should take care of any problem g-d willing,
