CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The Police car designated to pull motorist over for driving infractions was spotted a short while ago on Montgomery and Kingston. As we have reported a little while back the car was involved in an accident and hasn’t been around since.

Drivers should always wear their seatbelts and not talk on their cell phones without a hands free device, but should now take extra care!

“but should now take extra care!”

Why because you might get a ticket or
possibly because talking on a cell phone
can distract you from the road and you might kill someone?

Not talking on a cell phone shouldn’t
be an annoying law, it’s for the good of
the public. They don’t make laws to annoy
    citizens you know.

Pantax, you are a notoriuse for finding faults in us all.

Notice how Webby started that paragraph with “Drivers should always wear their seatbelts…” and then only empisized it further. Go troll somplace else!

  • PentaxK20D

I’m trying to make a point.

I know he said you should always
wear a seatbelt and not talk on a cellphone, but the extra care part was not needed unless people only respect the laws because of Police officers and not because it’s RIGHT.

“Not talking on a cell phone shouldn’t

Oh? And how is my not wearing a seatbelt hurting “the good of the public”?

“They don’t make laws to annoy citizens you know.”

No, they make laws to raise revenue.

the city is sick and tierd of scrapeing bodys off the street so they made a law thats saves lives ,,if u dont like it move to another country

“unless people only respect the laws because of Police officers and not because it’s RIGHT.”

Yes, Pentax, that’s *exactly* how I feel.

I don’t feel the laws are right. Therefore, I only obey them due to the fear of punishment.

  • common_sense

Hey Pentax, I feel like every time they pass a new law I loose just a little bit more of my liberty. If I don’t wear a seatbelt I don’t hurt anyone but myself, therefore I should be at liberty of choosing whether to wear it or not. That liberty was taken away from me by this law.

  • safety always

Awacs, if you speak on your phone while driving you may get into an accident………duh. Causing injuries to other ppl. Therefore it is for the good of the public. Wearing a seatbelt is for your own good………thats if you value your life. If not, dont wear a seatbelt, and keep you fingers crossed. I think ppl that dont are just big fools. I never ever drive anywhere w/o a seatbelt.

  • Safe driver

Please leave your kids at home:) Talking on a cell phone while driving is not half as distracting as a screaming child in the backseat!

  • Good Shabbos I Hope

How is it that people who wouldn’t dream of disregarding any law of the Torah have no problem thinking of the laws of the state, mankind, common sense, etc. as “optional”?
Traffic and safety laws are in place to protect everyone.
Yes the state makes money on the breaking of those laws, yes we loose freedom everyday under the guise of protection, but neither of those facts is what’s at issue.
Each time I walk or drive in CH (as well as many other neighborhoods) I feel I’m taking my life in my hands because some people have no regard for these simple laws. Evrybody knows this is true.
I’m astonished to see anyone actually defend the right to break the law, especially when it means peril to his neighbor to do so.
Whatever else is happening in this community, those laws are there for the benifit of everyone.
Obey them because it is the right thing to do for evryone’s sake.

  • be aware

These two cops – are giving tickets right left and center – if every cop did their job as well as these guys giving out tickets we wouldent have any of the muging and break ins.

They are always here on erev shabbos and yom tov.

i saw them giving a lady a ticket for being double parked – and she was in the car in the front seat – but giving her crying baby something to play with in the back!

Watch out – its a black cop with a bold head and a white chinese looking cop with him

Hello! did you ever hear that the Torah is divine and the other laws are man made? Can you even compare?!

  • mozoltov my shalom

This is the most pointless article ever.. Its not like these cops stop working when the car is in the repair shop.. they just use a different car!!!
and its not their job to find muggers and burglars.. thats why its the ticket car

  • For Torah Divine

    Congratulations
You are the millionth person on this website
    to miss the point entirely
    enjoy your ignorance!
please feel free to go live in a cave away from thinking people

    Because … they are?

Because Torah law came from G-d and traffic law came from … well, you don’t really want to know. :-)

”Each time I walk or drive in CH (as well as many other neighborhoods) I feel I’m taking my life in my hands because some people have no regard for these simple laws. Evrybody knows this is true.“

Yes, my driving without a seat belt definitely puts your life in jeopardy.
”Everybody” know this. Everybody except people think for themselves.

I’m planning to go out driving without me seatbelt tonight. Better stay home!

I’ll try to keep this one simple.

Muggers and robbers = hard to catch, and tend to use force to defend themselves.

Jewish drivers = easy to catch, never put up a fight.

You’re the cop. Whom do you *you* go after?

  • Disgusted by this

    awacs
I truely hope you are arrested before you kill someone
    you are a disgrace

I’m sure the Rebbe would be proud of you
