Lubavitcher Yeshiva Hosts Nittel Nacht Chess Tournaments
With no homework and no opportunity to learn with parents on Nittel Nacht, talmidim from all grades of Tomchei Temimim gathered for an exciting evening of chess.
Inspired by the well-known tradition of the Frierdiker Rebbe playing chess with the Rebbe on Nittel Nacht, the Yeshiva organized tournaments for each division, ensuring every talmid had the chance to participate.
Talmidim from the younger divisions had the opportunity to advance to a special bonus round, where a master chess player from the older division competed against all participants simultaneously.
Throughout the evening, the games were filled with tension and excitement. The event concluded with a Minyan Maariv before the bochurim returned home, inspired by the camaraderie and tradition of the night.
