A Joyous Yud Tes Kislev in Oholei Torah
Yud Tes Kislev was marked in Oholei Torah with a full day of celebration in every division, emphasizing the message of chassidus and encouraging talmidim to strengthen their darkei Hachassidus.
From the earliest grades through the Beis Medrash, talmidim experienced Rosh Hashana l’chassidus through learning, singing, stories, and heartfelt farbrengens. Each division highlighted a special element of Yud Tes Kislev, creating a powerful sense of chassidishe pride.
The preschool brought unmatched energy as all classes from both sites gathered together to act out the story of Yud Tes Kislev, sing and dance, and enjoy a festive seudah. The atmosphere was filled with pure delight and a genuine sense of celebration.
Pre1A held a warm and lively farbrengen that included pesukim, divrei Torah, stories from beloved mechanchim, chassidishe dancing, and spirited niggunim. A raffle with beautiful prizes added excitement for the talmidim.
First and second graders celebrated with a special seudah featuring Rabbi Zalmen Drizin, a shliach in Flatbush, who spoke about the specialty of the day. The talmidim recited a shaar blatt of Tanya, said the twelve pesukim, sang uplifting niggunim, and took on meaningful hachlotas. Raffles brought added joy with prizes that included Tanyas and pictures of the Rebbe and the Alter Rebbe.
Grades three through five enjoyed a beautiful seudah with words of inspiration from Rabbi Mendel Blau and lively niggunim led by Rabbi Shmuli Friedman. The day continued with heartfelt classroom farbrengens that helped the boys connect personally to the message of Yud Tes Kislev.
Grades six and seven learned Chassidus in the morning with Rabbi Efraim Mintz and later joined a spirited seudah with guest speaker Rabbi Dovid Kahanov.
The Mechina eighth grade experienced a meaningful seudah with Rabbi Folly Dubov, mashpia in the Mesivta, which set the tone for an inspiring program that continued with a visit to WLCC where the spreading of chassidus took place along with the Rebbe’s library where the talmidim viewed treasured Chassidus artifacts.
Mesivta and Beis Medrash gathered for meaningful farbrengens that encouraged personal reflection, inspired growth, and deepened the talmidim’s connection to the teachings and mission of the Alter Rebbe. The atmosphere in both divisions was filled with sincere chassidishe warmth and a strong sense of purpose.
Throughout the entire Yeshiva, the focus remained on deepening each talmid’s connection to the Alter Rebbe, to his teachings, and to the mission of spreading chassidus outward. The day strengthened the bond between talmidim, mechanchim, and the timeless message of chassidus.
