First Day at Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown Street

Tuesday marked the first day for the new shnas halimudim for the talmidim of Tomchei Temimim, and the excitement was felt in every corner of the building. As the boys approached the Yeshiva, lively music filled the air with the classic song “איינמאל א תמים, אלעמאל א תמים.” Two giant blow-up menchies stood proudly at the entrance, creating a festive and welcoming scene.

Each talmid received a Tomchei Temimim yarmulke and a fresh new notebook, setting the tone for a year of growth and learning. With beaming faces, the talmidim made their way to their designated locations.

At the opening assembly, Rabbi Y. Simpson, Menahel, warmly welcomed the boys, encouraging them to dedicate themselves to limud haTorah and to strive to make the Rebbe proud. Rabbi Scharf, Menahel of the Mechina division, addressed the older boys with warmth and passion. He reminded them that entering the Mechina years brings new responsibility, and spoke of the privilege of learning in Tomchei Temimim — the Yeshiva the Rebbeim held to the highest standard. He encouraged each talmid to set goals in limud haTorah, strengthen his connection to the Rebbe, and remember that a Tomim’s conduct serves as a living example for others.

Following his remarks, Rabbi Aron, Menahel of Kitos Daled–Vov, and Rabbi Turk, Menahel of Kitos Alef–Gimmel, each inspired their talmidim by highlighting the unique zechus they carry: to be called a Tomim, a distinction reserved exclusively for the talmidim of Tomchei Temimim.

After the assembly, the talmidim entered classrooms that had been freshly painted, with polished floors and neatly arranged desks. Seforim were set out on every desk, ready for the talmidim. Their devoted mechanchim welcomed them, each room had an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation for the year ahead

With the Rebbes Brochos the new year at Tomchei Temimim will be filled with growth, accomplishment, and true nachas from our talmidim.
