Mesivta Oholei Torah Begins New Shnas Halimudim with Significant Growth

Mesivta Oholei Torah has officially welcomed its new Shiur Alef students, marking the start of a new Shnas Halimudim. This year stands out due to the Yeshiva’s remarkable growth, reflecting its dedication to nurturing the next generation of Chassidim and Temimim. Both Shiur Alef and Shiur Gimmel now have some of the largest incoming classes in the Mesivta’s history. This growth has prompted the addition of new staff to ensure that every talmid receives the attention, rigorous shiurim in Niglah and Chassidus, and farbrengens essential for their spiritual and academic development.

To support this expansion, Mesivta Oholei Torah has added new classrooms, creating an environment conducive to focused learning and full immersion in Limud HaTorah. Mesivta’s esteemed Menahel, Rabbi Moshe Silman, together with the Hanholo and Roish Moissed, Rabbi Mendel Blau, worked diligently over the past year and summer to ensure the school year began smoothly, providing students with the resources needed to thrive.

The Yeshiva is proud to introduce an impressive new team of staff members, including:

Rabbi Yisroel Lipsker – Mashpia
Rabbi Dovid Leib Morosow – Maggid Shiur
Rabbi Zalman Lew – Maggid Shiur
Rabbi Moshe Farkash – Maggid Shiur
Rabbi Yehoshua Friedman – Mashpia

Rabbi Chanaya Vechter – Maggid Shiur
Rabbi Isser Brikman – Maggid Shiur
Rabbi Sholom Ber Gordon – Mashgiach
R’ Shmuly Golomb, R’ Benjy Binyominson – Senior Shluchim

These new educators, alongside the Yeshiva’s experienced Mechanchim, such as Rabbi Mendel Morosow, Rabbi Levi Wilhelm, Rabbi Chaim Lepkivker, Rabbi Michel Morosow, Rabbi Levi Greisman, Rabbi Dovid Levin, Rabbi Mendel Schneur, Rabbi Shimon Rivkin, Rabbi Nissim Lagziel, Rabbi Refael Dubov, Rabbi Peretz Kaplan, Rabbi Nachman Yosef Twerski, and Rabbi Yeshaya Wolfson, bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the Yeshiva’s mission.

Under the leadership of Rabbi Moshe Silman (Menahel), Rabbi Eli Oster (S’gan Menahel Shiur Alef), and Rabbi Zalman Laufer (Sgan Menahel Shiur Beis Gimmel), Mesivta Oholei Torah continues to prioritize small class sizes, fostering strong relationships between Rebbe and talmid. The expanded staff also ensures a more diversified and rigorous curriculum, meeting the individual needs and strengths of each student.

Additionally, a large group of dedicated talmidim hashluchim will be joining the Mesivta, enriching the environment with warmth and strong connections.

An exciting development this year was the acquisition of a fourth house to meet the growing demand for dormitory space. This expansion allows more local talmidim to live on campus, providing them with a full yeshiva immersion experience without needing to travel long distances. The dormitory now hosts over 70 talmidim, alongside a large group of talmidim hashluchim and dedicated staff, all fully immersed in the ideal 24/7 yeshiva life during these formative years.

As the new Shnas Halimudim begins, the atmosphere at Mesivta Oholei Torah is filled with excitement and optimism. The Yeshiva remains committed to cultivating Torah knowledge, yiras Shamayim, and Chassidisher character development in each talmid, guiding this new generation of Chassidim and Mekusharim to illuminate the world with Torah and Chassidus.
