Bais Rivkah Bus 770 Retires After 23 Years of Service
by CrownHeights.info
After 23 years of service to the girls of Crown Heights, Bais Rivkah bus 770, the first Bais Rivkah school bus, has been retired.
Purchased by Bais Rivkah in 2001, the bus ferried our community’s girls to and from school for 23 years, and despite being placed in retirement, was still going strong.
“Bus 770 was the first bus I drove,” Gadi Hershkop, a long time Bais Rivkah bus driver said. “Even driving the bus to the mechanic the engine drives beautifully, just with the wear and tear and things getting rusty and breaking, the inspector did not want to inspect it anymore.”
Bais Rivkah bus 770 made its final voyage this week and was handed over to others to decide its future.
