Unique Simchas Beis Hachueva at Lubavitcher Yeshiva

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — For the very first time in Crown Heights, The Lubavitcher Yeshivah hosted a Simchas Beis Hashoeva for its students in a safe, upbeat and exciting environment; on the roof of the Yeshivah on Crown Street. Children, Children and more children danced in circles for hours on, together with their Melamdim and principle. Fathers got to dance with their sons and sons with their fathers, “it was the best Simchas Beis Hashoeva I’ve ever been to” said one father.

Many more pictures in the Extended Article!

There were jugglers, there was a barbeque, there were snapples, there was a Sukkah, but the smiling faces of the young children dancing, out did it all. The event was organized by Rabbi Shmuli Turk and Rabbi Zalman Karp together with help and assistance of Yossi Langsam. The event was set up and manned by the Bochurim and Tmimim of the eighth grade.

Most people walked away at the end of the evening leaving comments like, “it’s about time!” or “why did it take so many years for someone to come up with this?” fact is it was amazing! Avremi G., really did a great job as the circles just kept on going round and round.

A special thanks goes to the sponsor of the event, R. Shloime Gutleizer of Apple Drugs!

I think we should do this every night of chol hamoed. It was amazing and kept the boys in a proper enviormemt like the rebbe would have wanted. Thanks to Rabbi S. Turk and Rabbi Z. karp for planning this amazing event.

  • It was great

my kids really enjoyed themselves, it was a great event. It was Chassidish, yet without flags wacking you in the face.

I especially liked the way some of the children brought out their talents by juggling and doing acrobats.

I hope this is the first of many more.
