Grand Hakhel Sium Harambam at Lubavitcher Yeshiva
In the spirit of Hakhel, every Tomim and staff member, from Preschool through 8th grade, including office staff, bus drivers, kitchen staff and therapists, participated in the Grand Siyum Harambam in Lubavitcher Yeshiva.
The large Simcha hall of the Yeshiva was filled to capacity for this unprecedented inclusion of all the grades, even the “טַף” of Preschool.
The event began with the entire Yeshiva singing in unison “L’chatchila Ariber” and the 12 Pesukim. Menahel Rabbi Y. Simpson addressed the gathering and highlighted practical lessons one can learn from Hakhel.
The Siyum was made by Hatomim Shmaryahu Zalmanov of the 7th grade, who completed the entire Mishneh Torah over the last 3 years. The first Halacha of the new cycle was taught by Hatomim Mendel Osdoba of the 7th grade.
Yaakov Guiron of the “Twins From France” performed together with Hatomim Shmulik Simpson of the 5th grade.
The Siyum Harambam also served as the opportune time to present Hatomim Yossi Turk with the Gold Chidon Trophy that he earned for coming in first place in the Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos – 4th grade division.
The event was organized by Tzivos Hashem Base commander Rabbi Y. Teleshevsky, Assistant Base Commander Hatomim Sholom Popper and Chayolei Beis Dovid Director Rabbi Moishy Goldstein.
A special thanks to Building Manager Matanya Neeman, the principals, assistant principals, Rebbis and Morahs for making this event possible.
