Crown Heights Manhole Explodes Motzei Shabbos, No Injuries Reported

A massive boom shook the 770 area Motzei Shabbos sending people scurrying for cover after a manhole exploded just one block away.

A CrownHeights.info photographer standing on Eastern Parkway near Kingston Ave heard the boom and rushed to 1457 Union Street, where he found the manhole blasted apart and the fire Department arriving for the reports of a manhole fire.

Thankfully no people were injured and no vehicles were parked on top of the manhole, leaving no damage other than to the manhole.
