Darchai Menachem Goes Skiing For End-of-Winter Trip

Darchai Menachem students enjoyed an end-of-winter trip with a snow-filled trek out to Shawnee Mountain, a ski resort that is a two-hour drive from Brooklyn. The younger division boys sped down the mountain in a fun-filled snow tubing adventure, while the older division took skiing lessons and spent the day on the ski slopes.

The ski trip was a reward for students who excelled in school and accumulated enough points over a twelve-week period. The point system is a multi-track way to encourage positive behavior and academic participation and rewards boys for their hard work with memorable experiences.

“Our goal is to offer our students immersive experiences – whether in the classroom or out,” says Rabbi Eyal Bension. “I was thrilled that nearly every student at Darchai Menachem was able to participate. Extracurricular opportunities like these really bring the boys together and foster that warm camaraderie that is vital to a strong school community.”

At Darchai Menachem one of the core values is that students should enjoy coming to school and feel a sense of positive feedback for their participation and hard work. Reward trips that highlight student’s achievements is just one part of this holistic approach to Chinuch.

Enrollment is now open and accepting applicants for Pre1A and Mesivta, with limited openings in select grades. Apply today: https://www.darchaimenachem.com/forms
