10th Day (Updated 4:21pm): Rocket Fire Continues, Israel Targets Hamas Cyber Teams, Rockets From Lebanon Bring Retaliatory Strikes

As the Israel/Gaza conflict drags into its 10th day, CrownHeights.info presents an overview of what has occurred today and will be providing live updates.

S has been the norm for the last 10 days, Hamas and other militant factions in Gaza have continued to fire rockets into central and southern Israel, sending civilians running to bomb shelters.

Earlier today, one person was injured by shrapnel at the Gaza border, and was transferred to Soroka Medical Center for treatment.

As of this morning, approximately 3,750 rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israeli territory since the beginning of Op. “Guardian of the Walls”, of which approximately 550 failed launches fell in Gaza. The Iron Dome has an intercept rate of approximately 90%.

Israel had spent the night also targeting Gaza, with strategic strikes toward the Hamas internal tunnel system. Round 5 against “the metro” included 40 underground sites, using 120 munitions, with 52 jets, in 25 minutes, according to the military.

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, 227 Gazans have been killed, including 64 minors, and over 1620 wounded since fighting began last week.

Within Israel, an attempted terror attack was foiled when a woman armed with an M-16 attempted to open fire at a rest stop. She was shot and killed by nearby soldiers. There were no other injuries.

Israel also attempted to allow humanitarian aid from Jordan into Gaza, but after opening the Kerem Shalom Crossing, they came under mortar fire and decided to close it again. No one was injured in the attack.

The Lebanese border also heated up today, after four rockets were fired towards Israel. One was intercepted, one landed in an open area, and two landed in the sea. The IDF responding with artillery fire.
