Be careful that the fruits you buy for shehechiyanu are not crossbreeds

Why not? It is a clear halachah in Shulchan Aruch (Yoreh De’ah 295:7) that fruits produced by cross-grafting may be eaten even by the one who did the grafting.
(And that’s aside from the fact that a lot of modern crossbreeding of plants involves other methods that are not forbidden by halachah at all.)
