As we approach the Shloshim since the passing of Rabbi Yehoshua Gordon, OBM, Head Shliach of California’s San Fernando Valley, Lubavitch Archives presents a look through his life through the prism of photos.

A talented speaker, educator and communicator, Rabbi Gordon led, together with his wife Debra, Chabad in the Valley, California, to include a vast network of 26 Chabad Houses.

Rabbi Gordon established a reputation as a great teacher and lecturer, mentor and orator, and was especially known for his wit, wisdom and humor.

    It still doesn’t register when I learned with him every day online when you think of it very painful what an credible person he was.

    The loss of Rabbi Gordon was a loss of an extended member of the Blauner family, Rabbi Gordon was like a son to my father and mother, and a brother to my wife an I. Throughout the years we had sppent many memorable hours together, I will surely miss Rabbi Gordon forever.

    For so long I promised myself to listen to his on-line shiurim. And then, upon seeing the news of his petirah, I resolved to learn with him every day. And, BH, so it has been. Chumash and Tanya. Sometimes I remember that his physical being is no longer here, and it is painful. However, most of the it doesn’t register this way: Rabbi Gordon is alive and teaching in just the kind of way that I can stick it out. And, of course, I am treated with the quips and stories. Gordon family: I am so sorry for your loss, and sorry for klal Yisroel for our loss. May we be reunited with our loved ones, soon.
