Crown Heights Hosts Colossal Satmar Gathering
Tens of thousands of Satmar Chassdim flocked from Kiryas Joel to the Union-Bedford Armory in Crown Heights on the eve of Chof Alef Kislev to celebrate the day Rabbi Yoel of Satmar was rescued from the flames of the Holocaust.
On hand were volunteers of the Crown Heights Shomrim and Hatzalah, who lent their efforts to the success of the monumental gathering.
In recent years, a positive relationship has developed between the Chasidic communities of Lubavitch and Satmar, with the Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel, Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum, openly supporting Chabad institutions in many parts of the world.

the kinus held sessions all weekend at this very place
however the main banquet could no longer fit in this place.
the main banquet was held at this location several years ago until they B’H outgrew this place too.
