Hundreds gathered in front of 770 – the Lubavitch World Headquarters – to attend the Levaya of Rabbi Mendel Schechter OBM, who passed away on Shabbos morning.

I did not know him unfortunately, but I had one encounter (will not get into details) in which I got an impression that he was slow-but-steady achiever. Those type that don’t rush, always balanced and focused but get done a lot. Very praisable qualities. Certainly he will be missed as an example to the younger generations.
