Hundreds of Crown Heights residents turned out for the 71st Precinct’s 21st annual Family Fun Day and Picnic, which featured free rides, hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as the chance to meet with police officials.

I didn’t go or send my kids (with my teens) because I didn’t know about it until after the fact

It was so nice to see how we mix so will with our non Jewish neighbors, even including our children in it.
It was so well mixed that there was a kosher stand as well as a non kosher stand.
I even know of a child that ate a non kosher hotdog.

I can see the 71st precinct from my front stoop and I never heard of the event.
