Photos: Thousands March for Jewish Pride in Montreal

Montreal is one of the few cities which holds a Lag Ba’omer parade regardless of whether it falls out on Sunday or any other day of the week. This year was no exception.

The parade began in front of Beth Rivka Academy, where Pesukim were said and the crowd was greeted by Mayor Michael Appelbaum. The crowd of over 2,000 people marched down Westbury Ave. and past the Yeshiva, led by Rabbi Dovid Banon carrying a new Sefer Torah.

Floats were represented by Bais Chaya Mushka seminary and Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch. Kids and cars carried signs about the Mivtzoim.

The parade ended in Van Horne park. Rabbi Chaim Fogelman entertained the audience with his fabulous music, followed by an acrobat show.

Many thanks to the organizer of the parade, Rabbi Dovid Cohen, who selflessly ensures that the Rebbe’s directives are implemented in Montreal.
