Photos by Yossi Barodkin
The Jewish community in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania had their own Lag Ba’omer Parade and Bonfire, arranged by Yeshiva Beis Menachem in conjunction with Cheder Menachem, the local day school, and Cong. Ohev Tzedek.
The parade, accompanied by live music, began at the Yeshiva and danced in the streets through the center of town, over the main bridge and into a local park, where the community got together for a barbeque and bonfire, followed by an inspirational kumzitz.
The event was made possible by the hard work of Rabbi Pinye Levitin.
