After returning from printing the Tanya in Antarctica, Photographer Meir Alfasi captured spectacular images of one of the world’s most beautiful Chabad Houses, located in the center of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, headed by Rabbi Chaim Oirchman.
Puerto Madero Chabad House is located in the heart of Argentina’s most exclusive area. It covers an area of ten thousand square feet, and cost about ten million dollars to build, due to its central location and the high-rise towers nearby.
The original structure is an historic building over eighty years old, built by the Red Cross; it was transferred to Chabad by the city of Buenos Aires.
The entire building was restored and renovated by the local Jewish community, and today it stands among the most beautiful Jewish tourist destinations in Argentina.
