Beis Shmuel Defeats Ahavas Yisroel, 10-3
It was a beautiful afternoon for softball challenge between Ahavas Yisroel and Beis Shmuel, which was hosted at Lefferts park along with a barbecue. Though CAY was clearly overwhelmed by BS’s softball experience.
While CAY went to work manufacturing new jersey’s for today’s game, BS got to dusting off their old Mulles jerseys – and while the veterans and retirees were more muted, their experience ultimately prevailed against the buzzing excitement of the inexperienced and fun.
The nine inning game, which was ‘umped’ by the Softball League’s Randy, ended with a score of 10-3 in favor of the Mulles.
Dozens of adults and children alike turned out for what promised to be a fun and exciting afternoon. While watching the game a barbecue was going and serving hotdogs and hamburgers to the attendees.

Kids need
Kids need sports and excercize but we should not make this something that kids should strive for . How about showing something more ruchnius for kids to get excited about. Is This what life is all about? Don’t pull the kids down, bring them up higher with better goals. You see what is going on out there. You should not make this into an eiker but it should stay a tafel.
