  • enough with simchas beis till 6 am

simchas beis is very nice but up to a certain hour…. i think that 6 am is excessive… nowadays its not as holy as it use to be…it just gives kids more of a reason to stay out late and party..i.e. drugs and smoking… there must be a stop to the excessive hours… i think by 12 am – 1am is more than enough to express ones simcha… please be considerate towards the neighbours/ children who cant sleep due to the noise!!!!!!!!

i have the same q…. its such a wrong picture, crownheights.info please check over your pictures before they go up and make sure they are all normal!

  • Holy

    Number “4”

“Not as holy as it use to be”..exactly what does that mean??Holiness is in the air, it is in the soul, the feeling, the expression as well as, many other ways. The fact that kids are smoking and drinking ..they smoke and drink late on any night..they do not need an excuse ..Noise..there is always noise in Crown Heights..better singing than gun shots and police cars

Ahron Chayim! So nice to see you with your delicious kinderlach… Tzemach, Chana and Yaisef. Much, much chassidishe and yiddishe nachas from them and Dovid sheyichyu. We love you all dearly. A gutten moed.

All local Crown Heightsers, chassidish, frum and otherwise classified should come to the local Simchas Beis Hashoeva.

For the observant, the dancing area is cordoned off to prevent intermingling, and many Rabbi’s and Mashpiyim come and dance, shuffle or what have you.

For the not-so-observant, it is no less an uplifting festive experience, if only to shuffle to live music and many voices in song, or break out in a liberating dance. No one is paying attention to you anyway, which is maybe the most liberating part.

For the anti-social, don’t stand on the side-lines watching. You’re begging to be approached by a talkative acquaintance.
Step into the dancing find a spot, and just dance. No talking necessary. If you see anyone you know, just offer a smile and a ‘good Moed’. No more is necessary.

Fathers don’t forget, girls only under three are welcome to dance in the men-only dancing.

Warm your heart and soul, come dance, or shuffle.
Don’t concern yourself with who’s there or what they do.
    Dance to the music.

    It’s our festival.
