4 X 35 in Oholei Torah in Preparation for Sukkos

This past Sunday, each of the 35 Elementary classes in Oholei Torah had a raffle for a set of daled mimin, sponsored by Mendy Lipskier of the Esrogim Center of Crown Heights.

On his initiative Lipskier contact Rabbi Hershel Lustig, Dean of the Elementary Division, and offered to give free of charge a set for each classroom.

A set of Arba Minim were raffled in every class from pre-1A to the 8th Grade. In order to secure raffle tickets to talmidim were encouraged to be extra careful in being on time for their class and careful in their davening, which is at times a challenge during the busy month of Tishrei. The talmidim also were tested, each grade on their level, with the halochos of Tishrei, and those who excelled also received extra tickets for the raffle.

The winners will use their knowledge of the halochos, as they choose their own set of daled minim, and will stand proud along with their Tatties in shul, being they have their own set, earned with their own efforts. Many of the winners told their rebbeim that now they have their own set, they will take it with them on their family chol hamoed trips and us it to share the mitzvah with others as well.

Rabbi Hershel Lustig deeply thanks Mendy Lipskier, and looks forward to other parents and alumni to encourage and do more for the continued betterment of the talmidim in our community.
