Photos: Evergreen Hosts MBD for Exclusive Kumzitz
LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY [CHI] — After spending an uplifting and farbrengen filled Shabbos the residents of Evergreen Estates were treated to an exclusive Kumzitz style performed from Mordechai Ben David accompanied by a full band.
Happy Evergreen Homeowner
Thank you sooooooooooo much to Yigal Niasfoff, Dovi Minkowitz & Moshe Katzman for putting this into play. and of course thank you to all the sponsors.
An evergreen homeowner that had a BLAST!!!
Just one special Shabbos in Evergreen
Was an incredible Shabbos & Melave Malka with MBD. Hope his push to build Mikvah by next year’s a reality. A very nice chassidishe event. 2 1/2 hrs straight of beautiful singing, dancing & Achdus. MBD was amazing & great with the crowd. Now all we need is Moshiach Now!
what happends in evergreen stays in.....
about all the things I heard what is going on in Evergreen, I am supriced men and woman where not sitting together :)
Today
EVERGREEN IS the Chasidishe Place with great ahavas yisroel.
On the other hand mei menuchos in fallsburg With a name like being “Chasidim”Should refer to hayom yom 8 of Av
From my grandfather’s aphorisms: What good is Chassidus and piety if the main quality is lacking – ahavat Yisrael, love of another – even to the extent of causing (G-d forbid) anguish to another!

to number 3# u just opened your mouth, and put your foot into it….. i am afraid u are only jealous…….
David from Luxor
Why did they place a cop at the gates of evergreen to stop visitors from enjoying a concert?
What kind of Ahavas Israel is this?

We WERE sitting together. BEACHDUS!!! Just with a mechitza, like it should be done. Question to you, when was the last time you woke up on Shabbos morning for Lekutei Torah? Better yet, when was the last time you truly cared for a fellow crown heights family that cannot afford to come to the mountains for a break and invited them up to your house. When was the last time you sat down with your son on Shabbos afternoon and learned for 1 hour straight? I don`t even care for your likely pathetic response. Just answer yourself! Oh and BTW, MBD Chassidiche kumzits was a BLAST!
PS: To number 4. I`m pretty sure I know who you are, although you didn`t sign your name like # 3. Just a suggestion; t`wasn’t necessary to mention names.

David from Luxor……i am sure you will understand that it was practically impossible to host all the people that would have come….it has nothing with ahavas yisroel….but simply with SAFETY!..and no one stops you from doing the same concert in Luxor:))))))
Dovi Minkowicz
David from Luxor, do you come with a last name? Possibly a Lubavither hiding behind a fictitious luxor identity? Either way identify yourself! It`s the least you should do when quarreling in public forum. To answer your question regarding the cops. I have 4 in-law families and 2 immediate families just minutes away from evergreen. That’s not including tons of extended family and friends. Let’s multiply this scenario by 63 Evergreen homeowners. That would equal to 300 people +. Our venue cannot accommodate such numbers. In order to avoid chaos we simply confined the kumzits to Evergreen homeowners. As a matter of fact, 2 Luxor residents came in through the path and they were welcomed with open arms. As to your comment about Ahavas Yisrael, see comment # 7. Oh, and you are always welcome, especially for Shabbos morning Shacharis @ 10:00 AM.

competion competion competion, common everyone grow up most of you are already in the 40’s range its about time, your parents never acted this way at this age, or at all.
dovi mink why so much anger?
your writing comes across to me like you’re defending something. relax. don’t scorn. we’re all good. we didn’t want to come anyhow bec. its not our concert, its Your concert! and i’m so glad you all enjoyed! it certainly would not be fun to be stopped by a cop even though most of our friends are at evergreen, (yes everyone heard that evergreen hired security) but Baruch hashem we are happy and thankful for where we are and we are happy that you got to enjoy an awesome concert with the king of jewish music!!
Your brother
Dear dovy,
Why was it suggested by a “wealthy’ women the morning after the concert, in the evergreen shul when the police officer came to talk about safety to the colony.
She suggested to install cameras around evergreen for security. (thAt would be a first in the colonies)
So it starts with an EXCLUSIVE Kumzits and it continues with exclusive cameras.
Interesting pattern!
It’s time to wake up!
i can-t believe this
people seriously grow up. i c the fighting on the comments, i can just imagine what goes on in the field. why don’t u ALL take ur energy and put into some +++++ use
Teacher
I’m sure everyone in evergreen pays full tuition
:)
Oh enough with the negative comments it was a beautiful inspiring event we had, and we did have alot of guests since each home in evergreen was full to capacity ( and they are pretty large homes). It would have been nice to let others in but then where do you draw the line and it could get out of control. would one camp bash another just because they organized a nice event. there are alot of nice colonies out there. I love being a part of evergreen but would never feel the need to put down another colony out there. so to all those who have these unacceptable comments it would be wise to self reflect where does this hate come from. we just finished the nine days. no need for hating. we certainly don’t hate you.
I love it when guests complain

Camera’s, security, gates, crowd control etc etc has nothing to do with “exclusivity”, It has to do with one thing, keeping EG safe for all who live and visit (including you), with emphasis on protecting our children.
If you had paid attention to the police officer, you would have heard his comments, reasons and suggestions. ALL COLONIES should do the same.
While I am at it, What were you doing in the shul during the Police officer’s presentation? Davening? @ 11:30? and you are criticizing?
it-s me
Great concert. Thanks to all the organizres.
(BTW, who is the mole hiding behind #12? I can think of 2 or 3 people who aren’t Evergreenrs that were present at the meeting with the cop…)
Chabadnick
Did any of the organizers, remember that at the same Motza1 Shabbos, there was the Yarchai Kallah at Gan Israel? Did we forget in honor of whom it is? It is one thing, if one cannot attend, but to intentionally schedule an event on the same night?! I think that a little thinking about who we are and where we are going is much overdue.

obviously u have to much free time, if this is all you can come up with….. security is the most important thing in ALL the colonies, we all have children on the lose during the summer, and unfortunately sick people walking around, so think it over again, before u make stupid comments……

Yarchai Kallah to the Evergreen crowed…..why you making fun of them???? would you offer them Uncle Moshi for the kumzits…
Ch
I’m afraid the only reason there was a mechitza and separate seating was because MBD will not sing for a mixed crowd

I am happy to see that some in Lubavitch are well off vchain Yirbu. We all know that the Financial situation in our Mosdos are in dire straits. With 50 million dollars a year we could probally make all our mosdos in C.H. flourish. More than that I hear there are some (even it is one ) that don’t want to procreate because the expenses tied to tuition (which incidently is wrong and against the wishes of our Rebbe. and there is also a lack in bitochon). Imagine the gevaldige Zechus for Ashirim to help yeshivoth plus because of him one additional child (Yidisher Neshomo ) is brought to the world.
Evergrreener
First of all, the event had a handful of big $ sponsors with minor contributions from the remaiming residents. The fact that there are a handful of B’H weatlhy sponsors is a blessing for Evergreen. the fact that they decided to have a kumzitz is also a blessing for Evergreen. Especially for me, since my children were able to benefit from the event. A heartfelt thatnk you to the big donors and I am glad i was able to contribute whatever I could. For all of you ono-evergreeners green with envy, dont be so envious. Many of the residents of evergreen have to rent out their houses to cover their expenses and cant even enjoy their investment. that should make you happy!

To #12 – cameras identified the killer of Levi Aron.
Feigy Minkowicz
