Chicago Holds Mitzvah Tank Parade!

In celebration of the upcoming holiday of Pesach, and the 109th Birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois held a Mitzvah Tank parade on Tuesday.

15 Mitzvah Tanks rolled through the streets of Chicago, including suburban areas, Highway, and busy downtown, with Rabbinic students delivering Passover provisions, answering questions about the holiday, in honor of Yud Aleph Nissan, the Rebbe’s Birthday. The parade ended at Daley Plaza-Chicago City Hall in Downtown.

After some dancing, the SUVs split up and went to various designated cities and campuses around Chicago, such as North brook, UIC, Highland Park, Bucktown, Lakeview, Niles, Hyde Park, Oak Park, Wilmette, Skokie, Evanston, and gave out 600 boxes of Matzah.

It was a fun and great experience for all of the kids that participated in doing mivtzoim marking this special day. Also, everybody receiving a T-shirt featuring the 109th birthday of the Rebbe logo.

The parade was coordinated by Levi Weingarten, Peretz Benhiyoun, assisted by Mendy Lachkar, R’ Yehuda Sugar, bochurim from the Lubavitch Mesivta of Chicago and Cheder Lubavitch.
