
1500 Attended Chabad of Frances Annual Dinner
Both Chief Rabbis of France and Paris Gilles Bernheim and David Meshash were all praises for Beth Lubavitch and Head Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Azimov.
Beth Lubavitch in Paris held its annual gala fundraising dinner and auction to benefit the tens of Chabad Houses and large schools it operates in the French capital.
Some 1500 people were in attendance including Israel’s Ambassador to France Yossi Gal and other dignitaries.
Head Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Azimov and his wife Bassie, as well as the other Paris Shluchim, warmly welcomed the guests to the event which was produced by Phillip Chelly.
Chief Rabbi of France Gilles Bernheim and Chief Rabbi of Paris David Meshash were both invited to speak, and were lavish in their praise of the work of Rabbi Azimov and the Rebbe’s vision to ignite the light of yiddishkeit in France, Europe and the world over.
Famed music conductor Moshe Laufer and the Paris Symphony played a repertoire of Jewish and Chassidic songs.
