Cong. B’nai Avraham Marks 22nd Anniversary
BATTERY PARK, NY — Set on the landscape of the Brooklyn Heights waterfront, friends and supporters of congregation B’nai Avraham and Chabad of Brooklyn Heights gathered at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan’s Battery Park, which overlooks the river and neighborhood which it serves.
This year’s dinner marked 22 years of service, “I vividly remember the very first service at the theater on Willow Place” said Rabbi Ari Raskin, the director and spiritual leader of the congregation.
The dinner honored some distinguished guests including the honorable judge William C. Thompson who received the leadership award, alongside Philip D. Lerner with the man of the year award, Dr. Sol D. Haber with the Maimonides healing arts award, and Jeremy and Mirim Fox with the Kesser Shem Tov award.
The dinner also marked the new release of By Divine Design by Rabbi Raskin, which is a book with insights on every Sedra in the Torah and on the holidays. You can learn more about the book by visiting By-Divine-Design.com.

Touch of Class
To # 8. Get a life! By the way, the Rebbe DID appreciate when his Chasidim showed a touch of class at appropriate times. This was one of those appropriate times.
Looking Good, Mr. Bundy
Rabbi Raskin is the sharpest dresser in town! I remember a few years ago there was an article about when B’nei Avraham was vandalized by anti-Semites, and the accompanying pictures featured the rabbi in a three-piece suit.
