Its was a hachona for Yud Shvat like non-other – and the winners got a smack’n good paint-ball shooting trip like none-other!
Its the Chayolei Bais Dovid for 7th and 8th grade at Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Crown Heights. Manned by the most talented up-beat mashpiim, Mendel Chazzan, Laibel Ferrez, Binyomin Lizak, Mendel Robins, Srulie Bronstein, Dovber Blasberg, Mendy Ash and Program coordinator Yitzchok Pewsner all of the Chovevei Torah zal.
It was thirty days of solid Avodas Hashem, from Mode Ani and Negel Vaser in the morning, to Mikveh, to Tanya before davening, to Chitas, to tzedaka, to Rambam and the list goes on, it was a battle amongst the units for that top rank in our Avodas Hashem and Hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
The yeshiva faculty were very pleased with its results, one teacher noted how as soon as the recess bell went off, copies of the days chitas began to circulate, another teacher was particularly impressed with the acts of Ahavas Yisroel and particularly how each student made sure that his friends all had money for tzedaka, the list goes on with only positive feedback.
The students are about to embark on the next phase of Chayolei Bais Dovid, entitled ‘the day of a Tomim’ and the anticipation is exceptionally strong.
