Shluchim Online School Graduation Trip

A few days before Shluchos made their way to Crown Heights for Chof Beis Shvat, twelve eighth graders from the Shluchim Online School gathered for a one-of-a-kind experience of their own.

In honor of their upcoming graduation, these girls from Cordoba, Nashville, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sacramento, Fresno, Palo Alto, Kansas City, Atlanta, Austin, Seattle, Washington, and San Francisco had an opportunity to bond and have a great time in person.

The girls met in Crown Heights and traveled to the Poconos area for a three day experience that included snow tubing, laser tag, meeting local Shluchim and enjoying Farbrengens and learning together. As one graduate said, “One thing I learned is that unity could exist even over the computer!” The girls parted better friends than ever and packed with inspiration, looking forward to seeing one another again in class – online.

The Shluchim Office would like to thank Rabbi G. Shemtov, Rabbi M. Shemtov and Mrs. G. Rosenfeld for their constant help. They would also like to thank Mushkie Junik, director of Online School extra-curricular activities, for investing her energy, time and dedication to making this trip a success.

Mirelle Wolf and Mushkie Junik chaperoned the girls, giving them a great time! The girls slept in the home of Shluchim Rabbi and Mrs. Weinstein in Yardley, PA, who welcomed them with warmth, dinners and a meaningful Farbrengen. Many thanks to all those who contributed to creating this non-virtual memory for the Shluchim Online School graduates!
