
First Chasidic Wedding in Ponte Vedra Beach
Sunday, June 27th , 2010 marked a landmark event in the history of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The city that once boasted a sign, “No dogs or Jews allowed,” just hosted its very first Chassidic wedding.
The bride, Eliana Hattaway, and the groom, Mendel Galer both met at Chabad @ the Beaches. Chabad was packed with 150 joyous celebrants of all ages, delighted to share in the joy of two remarkable members of the community. Menachem Czarka tried to find the words to describe the experience, “To say this was an extraordinary event is an understatement,” he enthused.
