Evening of Entertainment for CH Residents
A group of Crown Heights residents gathered last night for a special evening of entertainment in a local home.
The crowed enjoyed the inspiriing words of Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, followed by a special vocal performance by Berel Zucker and his acapella group who sang Lubavitcher niggunim, and badchan Yankel Miller, the famous yarmer Rov, who had the crowd in stitches.
At the event Yossi Fraenkel awarded Mrs. Scheiner a plaque recognizing all the work she has done, and continues to do, on behalf of these Crown Heights Residents.

huh?
i wonder whose house this was held in
thank you to all involved
for all that you do
Is the organization a secret?
Why is this article so vague about the auspices of the event? Which organization sponsored it?
From the looks of this article and the plaque, it would appear that Yossi Fraenkel called up a bunch of people to gather so that he could give a plaque to Mrs. Devorah Scheiner, who has done so much “on behalf of these Crown Heights residents.”
Which “these Crown Heights residents” does the plaque refer to?
Anyway, yasher koach, Mrs. Scheiner, from ???????

cant we just do mitzvahs l’shem shmayim – why the awards and plaques??
here goes another negative comment
to waste of money: Get your head out of the sand!!
Why can’t you see the positive? Yes, it’s nice to do mitzvos and that’s what Mrs. Scheiner does. It is nice to show the appreciation. It’s not the plaque, it’s the meaning and feeling behind it.
someone who has benefitted directly
TRUST ME – THERE IS NO ONE IN THE WORLD WHO TRULY DOES ACTS OF GOODNESS & KINDNESS L’SHEM SHAMAYIM LIKE DEVORAH SCHEINER !!!! SHE IS BUSY AROUND THE CLOCK HELPING OTHERS IN COUNTLESS WAYS WITH NO PUBLICITY …. MAY HASHEM BENCH HER WITH CONSTANT REVEALED GOOD – SHE IS THE REAL DEAL !!!

To all that asked (some in a very negative way),
This event was to bring hapinness to special children and their families… Was that not clear?
First Rabbi Yossi Jacoson spoke very niceley. Then the Kapelye (choir) with Cantor Zucker sang amazingly. Lastly, the Yarmer rov told badchonus. Yossi Frankel came in for 5 minutes to give a nice plaque to Mrs. Sheiner (and put his name on it…U in all it was avery nice and uuplifting event for the kids.

Dvorah Sheiner is a most unusual woman. She spends endless hours to plan and prepare these evenings of Chizuk for the members of the Crown Heights Community. She invites older senior members, single women, widows and Special Children, individuals who face daily challenges and greatly appreciate these evenings of Torah talks and entertainment. I know- I am one of the participants. With my husband Mottel with physical challenges, with the travail that incorporates, Dvorah’s eveinings are most welcome. For the rest of you- Do you care about the challenged members of our community? Do you stop to say Hello to people in a wheel-chair? Do you pause to ask those with walkers how they are doing?
Dvorah has a huge heart and on her own she has undertaken this project. I am SHOCKED and dismayed at some of the unwelcome critical comments. How dare you? And I am utterl ASHAMED of all of you who asked whose home we were in. Is that what was important to you? If that is your focus, think and think again if this is the right community for you. Such materialistic shallow behavior is really a disappointment. Thanks Dvorah, and may Hashem BLESS you for all you do to beutify our existence.
Dear Mrs. Scheiner
Mrs. Scheiner. I experience firsthand your extraordinary work you do. Zul der aibershter aich benchen with health, wealth and lots of nachas!
