Despite the Recession, $7,523,869 Pledged at Telethon

LOS ANGELES, CA [CHI] — $7,523,869 is the amount that was pledged at this years Chabad Telethon. Performers, Entertainers, popular TV figures all spent 6 hours encouraging people to donate.

    Don’t read into it – using infamous instead of famous is one of the most common mistakes (Check out YSP ads in Nishei Chabad newsletters – “come to our infamous camp”)

    I’m pretty sure that the money that’s made supports all the shluchim in California, which I’m sure costs a lot of money. The work that Rabbi Cunin puts in to make sure that all the facilities are running properly, is mind-boggling. May Hashem give him continuous strength to be able to continue doing this for many years to come
