Photo Gallery: Winter Boys Day Camp in Sydney
SYDNEY, Australia [CHI] — Yeshiva Centre – Chabad Headquarters of NSW, Australia; are very proud of an amazing one week “Gan Israel” WINTER boys day camp! (In Australia it is now winter!)
The boys camp had Bli Ayin Horo 50 boys between ages 5 to 13. (there was also a girls day camp held at a totally separate location which had 40 girls).
The children were taught that yiddishkeit can be fun, in addition to exciting learning classes the boys learned also through play such as making tzedoko pushkas in arts and crafts, teamwork in laser shooting, bowling, basket ball and other outdoor games and activities.
One parent expressed himself saying, it seems my child learnt more in this one week at camp than what he learns in many weeks at school!
The camp was organized by the hard working “Talmidim Hashluchim” Rabbinical students of the Sydney “Yeshiva Gedola”, the head counselor was hatomim Shmuel sheyichye Davidoff, the camp director was Rabbi Elimelech Levy who is also the director of outreach for the Yeshiva Centre.
