Heightened Security at NYC Synagogues Following Michigan Attack
The NYPD is increasing security at synagogues and other Jewish institutions in New York City after a man armed with a rifle rammed his vehicle into a synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan, on Thursday.
Police in Michigan said no children or staff were injured. They said one security officer was struck by the vehicle but did not suffer life‑threatening injuries.
Authorities said the incident appeared targeted and that the suspect was fatally shot by security.
