Deadline to Apply for Free Child Care in NYC Approaches
The deadline to apply for New York City’s free Pre-K and 3-K programs is approaching, with applications closing Friday, Feb. 27, according to Mayor Zohran Mamdani. He urged parents and families to submit applications before the cutoff date.
New Yorkers with children turning three or four in 2026 are encouraged to apply.
The city said applications are not first-come, first-served, and every family that applies by the deadline will receive an offer.
