MTA Fare Hike Goes Into Effect Today on NYC Subways, Buses
Starting Sunday, a subway ride will cost you $3.
A fare increase goes into effect Sunday on all New York City subways and buses. A single ride is increasing from $2.90 to $3, and the weekly cap is increasing to $35. Express bus fare will increase from $7 to $7.25.
For reduced fare customers, a single ride will now cost $1.50 and the week-long maximum will be $17.50. Express buses will cost $3.60.
