Weather Warnings: Flash Flood Advisory Sunday Afternoon Into Evening, Heat Advisory Monday to Thursday

The National Weather Service is warning of isolated instances of flash flooding as thunderstorms are expected Sunday afternoon and evening.

According to reports from the NWS, there is chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2pm and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms again after 5pm. The heat index on Sunday is near 81, with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Hot and humid conditions will return Monday through Wednesday, with a Heat Advisory issued from 11am Monday through 8pm Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to head into the low 90s with 92 degrees anticipated for Wednesday.
