Trump Administration Gives Deadline to End Congestion Pricing in NYC

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration want congestion pricing to end in New York City by March 21, 2025.

However, Gov. Kathy Hochul and the MTA say a court will decide. The governor spoke at the monthly MTA board meeting and called for “orderly resistance.”

Last week, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation sent a letter to the state calling for the orderly cessation of the program. A follow-up later stated the deadline of March 21 to end it.
