Con Ed Preps As Snowy Mix Forecast For NYC

by CrownHeights.info

It is going to be miserable weather tomorrow in NYC as forecasts show a wintery mix of snow and rain guarantied to make you want to stay home.

Weather forecasts for Tuesday are anticipating snow showers mixed with rain at times in the afternoon. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s with wind between 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 40 mph.

Con Edison has announced that it is mobilizing for the winter storm by securing more than 400 outside workers to address power outages that the storm, named “Storm Sage”, may bring.

The wind and snow can cause trees and branches to fall onto power lines and bring those lines down, causing customers to lose service and creating a safety hazard. In addition, road salt will mix with melting ice and could damage underground electrical wiring and lead to outages.
