What Does NYC’s Congestion Pricing Plan Hold?

Congestion pricing has been a topic long talked about in the city, and more details about a plan that could make it a reality have come in.

Under this plan, anyone driving in Manhattan’s central business district could pay anywhere from an additional $9 up to $23. Officials said the plan is aimed at reducing congestion in our dense city.

Details on the congestion pricing were released on Wednesday in an environmental assessment report the MTA sent to the Federal Highway Administration for review. The tolls would take effect south of 61st Street in Manhattan, excluding the FDR and West Side Highway. There would also be an off-peak discount.
